Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal Therapy

The ligaments, bone, and gums around the teeth form the foundation for your teeth. All structures are also referred to as the periodontium. When your periodontium is not healthy, it puts the foundation of your teeth at great risk.

Signs of Unhealthy Periodontium Include:

  • Gums that are red and bleed easily
  • Persistent bad breath
  • Gums that are pulled away from the tooth
  • Loose teeth
  • Changes in the position or bite of the teeth

Healthier Gums

With proper gum treatment, it is possible to return gum tissue to a healthy state. Gum treatment usually involved a deep cleaning or root planning done under a local anesthetic, along with local antibiotic agents. Early treatment is the key to periodontal therapy, and if you have any of these symptoms, please call Dr. Tindal right away to schedule an appointment.
